The Midsummer Light, by Artecnica, designed by Tord Boontje, is an experiment in light, decoration and material. This double layer, paper pendant is made of laser-cut tyvek and is tear, temperature, and water resistant. A cone shaped safety protector keeps the lamp and paper separate. Artecnica, as its name implies, makes products that fuse creative expression and technology. The main objective at Artecnica is to create new ideas, design and applications in both the architectural and product design world.
